Me, Gina, as creator behind CreexArt, and I'm thrilled to share the story and inspiration that fuel this artistic endeavor with you. Let me explain why this name, how I chose it and why it is important to me.
Why the name Creex?
My brand, CreexArt, is more than just a name; it's a heartfelt tribute to my beloved dog, Crixus, who has been the guiding force behind my passion for animals and the art I create.
Crixus entered my life during a time when I was dedicated to serving as a foster home for dogs in need. He and his sister were among the many pups I encountered, but fate had other plans for him. His sister found a forever home, but Crixus lingered, patiently waiting for his turn. He was full of parasites, no “breed”, without a specific breed and a little bit trouble maker. It was a sign that we were meant to be companions.
The inspiration for his name came from a TV show about gladiators that I was engrossed in at the time. The character's adventurous and mischievous spirit resonated with Crixus, although my dog brought a unique charm and playfulness to the mix. Our journey together began, creating a bond that transcended the ordinary.
Unfortunately, Crixus passed away just two weeks before my move to Tulsa. His departure was a profound loss, but it also ignited a desire within me to honor him through my art. As I contemplated a full-time career as an artist, I knew that Crixus had to be at the heart of it all.
Without knowing, this one is the last picture I took with him.
So, for me, CreexArt is not just a brand; it's an embodiment of art created with a heart full of love and compassion, inspired by the lessons learned from my four-legged companion. Every brushstroke, every piece I create carries the essence of Crixus – a reminder of the valuable lessons in compassion, determination, and finding beauty in every moment.
Despite the pain of losing him, Crixus's memory lives on in the art I produce. Each creation is a celebration of the profound connection between humans and animals. Naming the brand after him is a tribute to the enduring impact he had on my life and the values that shape the art I bring to life.

I'm Gina Alusi, originally from Colombia, but I moved to the U.S. approximately eight years ago. Currently, I am a devoted full-time mixed-media artist residing in Tulsa. My passion lies in experimenting and creating, as I continuously strive to learn new techniques.
